Every slab is unique and has its own character. Colour variations, veins, crystals, natural shading and asymmetrical patterns are inherent to the stone and make every worktop unique. These natural characteristics are not imperfections, but rather part of the beauty of genuine natural stone.

To keep your worktop looking its best, we impregnate it beforehand for extra protection. Nevertheless, careful use remains important. We recommend removing spilled liquids, such as oil, coffee, wine or acidic products, promptly and using only cleaning products suitable for natural stone.

With normal use and proper maintenance, granite retains its luxurious appearance for many years. The unique patterns and natural variations tell the story of the stone and give your worktop a look that no other worktop can exactly match.

Wood is a natural product and therefore unique. Differences in colour, texture, grain, flame patterns and knots are natural characteristics that contribute to the material’s warm and authentic appearance. No two pieces of wood are the same. These natural variations are therefore not considered to be a manufacturing fault or defect.

Knots are a normal part of wood and often actually contribute to the character of the product. Furthermore, stain, oil or varnish may react differently to the natural wood structure, which can result in subtle colour variations or highlights in the grain. This is a normal characteristic of real wood.

Cracks, on the other hand, should not be present in a finished product. Where there is an actual crack in the wood, we naturally assess this carefully. A crack differs from a natural grain, pattern or knot and always warrants attention.

We process our wood with great care and rigorous quality control. The natural characteristics of wood make every product unique and give it the character that only a genuine natural product can offer.

Douglas fir is a natural product with a strong and visible grain pattern. At Titan-Crafts, the wooden crates for your product can optionally be finished with black stain. This is a process in which three double coats of stain are applied to the wood. Despite this meticulous finish, with a black stain finish, grain, knots and natural colour variations may remain visible or appear as a slight haze. This occurs because the wood does not absorb the stain evenly throughout. These natural characteristics are typical of Douglas fir and contribute to the product’s authentic appearance. They are therefore not considered to be a manufacturing fault or defect.

Setting up a kamado is hard work, but it’s a job that can be done quickly as a team. Ceramic is vulnerable to knocks. That’s why the recess in our outdoor kitchen is slightly larger than the barbecue itself, so that the kamado can be positioned safely.

Our grate is welded perfectly straight and is ideal for stability and heat regulation. Despite this, the barbecue may wobble slightly when opening and closing the dome. This is because the fired ceramic kamado isn’t always perfectly flat on the underside.

Fortunately, the solution to this potential ‘wobble’ is simple. Heat-resistant felt can be used to provide a little support where the surface is uneven, which eliminates the wobble.
